The Escape

She began quietly tip-toeing down the hall.  She was scared out of her mind, I suppose it was self preservation that kept her going.  She reached the end of the hall and stopped to see if they were still talking.  They seemed to be in heated conversation again and she thought she'd better hurry up before it's too late.  She looked to the right and then the left, trying to decided which one would take her safely from this prison.  There was a light at the end and she began to walk towards it,  a surge of hope bubbled inside her and she broke into a run.

Upon reaching it she realized it was merely a window.  And her heart sank once again.  She then realized that this is her only way out.  I'll break the window, She thought, It's all I've got left.  She looked around for something thick and hard enough to break through glass.

The room was dark and cold, her eyes canvased the floor looking for something that would help her escape.

She stumbled across a large rock, she knelt by the window, held her breath and started smashing at the window.  It must of been old because it broke rather easily.  The same hope she experienced earlier seemed to rise within her again, and she couldn't help but smile.

Big Consequences

His grip on her arm suddenly tensed; he bent down and whispered in her ear, "Wait here, and please don't do anything.."  He paused for a second, and then continued in a more lower, sarcastic voice, "Stupid".  He released his grip and walked into a nearby room.  She exhaled, and trembled from the cold.  She felt the goosebumps lining her arm and began rubbing her hands together, in hopes of warming herself up.  She paused suddenly, loud arguing was seeping out of the room;

"She knows to much!! You think we're just gonna let her leave?" The first man said with a tone of indignant sarcasm.  "Well then what do YOU say we do to her, huh? If you think you're so smart!?"

She suddenly heard the horrific sound of somebody being choked and she shut her eyes as tight as she could, hoping to block out the sound.  "Don't you ever talk to me like that again...  have you forgotten whose in charge?" The first man said in a deathly whisper.  The second man seemed to be searching for breath and words, "We can't.."  He coughed and tried to breathe, "Get rid of her here" He said coughing again.

She then heard a loud bang and a whimper,  It was silent for  while until she once again, heard the second mans growling voice.  Although, this time it didn't sound as frightening and intimidating, it seemed to be trembling and in pain. He cleared his throat, "It'll leave to much of a mess here, police will be all over us.."  There was silence from the leader, like he was afraid to admit his 'punching bag' was actually correct.  "Alright" He said, "We won't do it here, I'm thinking more.. water?"
"Water?" his accomplice replied, I don't understand.

"Missing girl turns up in ocean after many weeks of searching" Said the leader in sheer delight.  The other man caught on and he to began to laugh.

Her heart stopped beating, and her stomach dropped, as she was hit was the gruesome realization that she was going to die.  She looked around.. As if searching for someplace to escape.  I might as well try She thought, I'm going to die anyway.  The men began talking again and she realized this was her chance, probably the only chance she'd get.. forever.
