Suddenly, the same loud gruff voices echoed down the long hall. The panic again rose within her like a monster trying to claw it's way out.  She couldn't scream.  She only froze and slowly turned her head to look behind her.  The shadows of her pursuers danced on the walls as their terrified and angry voices grew louder.  She grimaced as she thought of the things they would do.  The hot tears spilled down her face as the realization came that this was probably the end.  She frantically looked around, searching for that one last ray of hope.  An unseen tunnel, a place to temporarily hide herself.. anything!

Then she saw it, there was a large pillar behind her  and she frantically walked towards it and completely submerged herself behind the pillar of concrete.

Their footsteps echoed off the wet stone ground as they walked closer.  She could hear their panicked whispers and for some strange reason, it provided her with some relief.

"Where do you think she is??"  "Who knows.. She could be halfway to the police for all we know you big IDIOT!"  "i said i-- Dude!"  "What?" The first one sharply replied.  "I think she got out through the window.
"What?! That's impo-- holy crap."

She held her body in between the pillar and the cold wall and tried her hardest to sustain her frantic breathing patterns.

The first man then gritted his teeth in sheer anger.. turned to his "trusty" sidekick and in  a deathly silent voice muttered.. "Go find her.."

The Escape

She began quietly tip-toeing down the hall.  She was scared out of her mind, I suppose it was self preservation that kept her going.  She reached the end of the hall and stopped to see if they were still talking.  They seemed to be in heated conversation again and she thought she'd better hurry up before it's too late.  She looked to the right and then the left, trying to decided which one would take her safely from this prison.  There was a light at the end and she began to walk towards it,  a surge of hope bubbled inside her and she broke into a run.

Upon reaching it she realized it was merely a window.  And her heart sank once again.  She then realized that this is her only way out.  I'll break the window, She thought, It's all I've got left.  She looked around for something thick and hard enough to break through glass.

The room was dark and cold, her eyes canvased the floor looking for something that would help her escape.

She stumbled across a large rock, she knelt by the window, held her breath and started smashing at the window.  It must of been old because it broke rather easily.  The same hope she experienced earlier seemed to rise within her again, and she couldn't help but smile.

Big Consequences

His grip on her arm suddenly tensed; he bent down and whispered in her ear, "Wait here, and please don't do anything.."  He paused for a second, and then continued in a more lower, sarcastic voice, "Stupid".  He released his grip and walked into a nearby room.  She exhaled, and trembled from the cold.  She felt the goosebumps lining her arm and began rubbing her hands together, in hopes of warming herself up.  She paused suddenly, loud arguing was seeping out of the room;

"She knows to much!! You think we're just gonna let her leave?" The first man said with a tone of indignant sarcasm.  "Well then what do YOU say we do to her, huh? If you think you're so smart!?"

She suddenly heard the horrific sound of somebody being choked and she shut her eyes as tight as she could, hoping to block out the sound.  "Don't you ever talk to me like that again...  have you forgotten whose in charge?" The first man said in a deathly whisper.  The second man seemed to be searching for breath and words, "We can't.."  He coughed and tried to breathe, "Get rid of her here" He said coughing again.

She then heard a loud bang and a whimper,  It was silent for  while until she once again, heard the second mans growling voice.  Although, this time it didn't sound as frightening and intimidating, it seemed to be trembling and in pain. He cleared his throat, "It'll leave to much of a mess here, police will be all over us.."  There was silence from the leader, like he was afraid to admit his 'punching bag' was actually correct.  "Alright" He said, "We won't do it here, I'm thinking more.. water?"
"Water?" his accomplice replied, I don't understand.

"Missing girl turns up in ocean after many weeks of searching" Said the leader in sheer delight.  The other man caught on and he to began to laugh.

Her heart stopped beating, and her stomach dropped, as she was hit was the gruesome realization that she was going to die.  She looked around.. As if searching for someplace to escape.  I might as well try She thought, I'm going to die anyway.  The men began talking again and she realized this was her chance, probably the only chance she'd get.. forever.

A not so good night's sleep followed by an unpleasant morning. (Part 2)

She unlatched the lock and the door swung open with a thud, nearly missing her face as she dodged it. "Come on, Time to go" Her face lit up with hope, The man noticed this and said quickly: "Ha! You think were gonna let you go? Are you thinking were just gonna let you waltz outta here?" He said with a low chuckle. "I had my hopes" She choked in a low whisper. He didn't seem to notice this as he motioned her out of the darkly lit room. She squinted as the light flooded her eyes, It wasn't that bright, but it was the brightest she'd seen in a few days. He led her through a hallway to a small room at the end.

A not so good night's sleep followed by an unpleasant morning. (Part 1)

She quickly decided against eating food the man had brought, for fear it would make her throw up. She decided that eating the plate of food would do just as much damage as not eating at all, so she turned her back to it and walked towards the bed. It was metal, small and rusty. It creaked as she carefully sat on it, and before she knew it, her butt hit the ground as the mattress sank to the floor. "Ow" She cried. It was a pathetic sight to witness, the bed frame with the sinking mattress, and on top a frightened girl with her legs hanging over the edge. So she pulled her tired hands to her face, and started crying. With the tears running down her face and through her hands she tilted her body and leaned against one side of the mattress, closed her sleepy eyes, and fell asleep.

The next morning she awoke with a start, a loud banging was coming from the door. She stood up and suddenly lost her balance. As she sat on the ground, with the intense knocking ringing in her ears, she realized what had just happened. Both her legs had fallen asleep from laying in that uncomfortable position for about 6 hours. She begin hastily shaking her legs so they would wake up, because the banging only seemed to be getting louder and louder. "HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE ME KNOCK ON THIS DOOR, PRINCESS?" He suddenly yelled with mock sarcasm. "OPEN UP RIGHT NOW, OR ELSE!!" So she jumped up, in fear of being hurt by these unfriendly people, and ran towards the door.

Disgusting Food.

There was a loud knock at the metal door that her in. "Open up" came a deep, growly voice. "Quickly, quickly, we don't have all day. She sat up, feeling stiff from laying on the hard ground for a few hours. She painfully stood up and started walking towards the door. "Hurry up!" he shouted again. "Alright, ALRIGHT!" She impatiently replied, she reached the handle of the door and pulled it open, it squeaked at it reached a wide open position and revealed the same man who had pushed her off the cliff. "I got your food, doll" he said as he shoved a metal plate towards her. "Would you please stop calling me that" She replied under her breath as she grabbed the plate from his cold hands. He made a low chuckle and walked off. "I'd eat that cause you wont be getting thing else" he said right as she looked down at her plate, She looked up, startled, like he had been watching her observe her only rations for the remainder of the evening. She turned around and shut the rusty door behind her.

She quickly looked over the food on her plate, it made her stomach sick.

The House of the Rising Sun Part 3

Panic- (n) sudden, uncontrollable fear or anxiety.

"Oh no, oh no oh no" she said aloud to herself as she surveyed her surroundings. The room was about 15 feet wide and 10 feet long, not the most desirable living space. It was dark so she couldn't see much but by a little light from a small window in the corner she was able to see what the room consisted of. . A small metal chair and various items of trash. "Oh okay, no bed?" She thought, although a place to sleep was the last thing on her mind at the moment. Trying to keep herself calm she walked to the corner sat down on the ground and cried. After sobbing for about 20 minutes she finally fell asleep on the cold concrete floor.

About 3 long hours later. .
